Maharaja Ranjit Singh PTU Student Wins Photography Award

BATHINDA, NOVEMBER 15

Pushkar Bansal, B.Tech. second year Computer Science  and Engineering student of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) has made university proud with his big achievement by winning third prize in Photography in the National  level online Dera Baba Nanak Youth Festival.

       The festival was organised by Punjab Government to mark the 550th Birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

        The winning Photograph was titled, “Balihari Kudrat Vaseya Tera Ant Na Jaye Lakhiya” signifying “We have to follow God’s divine will and respect the nature as it has given birth to entire universe” got lot of appreciation.

     Pushkar received the award, comprising of cash prize of Rs. 21,000/- and a certificate, at a state level felicitation ceremony held at Dera Baba Nanak. The event organised by Government of Punjab received a total of 458 entries from across the country from various universities.

    The competition was held in 13 categories comprising of group and individual events including Shabad, Dhadhi art, Poem recitation, Speech, Essay, Digital poster, photography, calligraphy, painting and sketching.

        At MRSPTU, the event was coordinated by faculty members Dr. Jatinder Kaur, Professor & Head, Architecture and Dr. Amitoj Singh, Cultural Coordinator under the guidance of Dr. Bhupinder Pal Singh Dhot, Director, Sports and Youth Welfare of MRSPTU, Bathinda. Dr. Jatinder Kaur selected the student entries in various categories.

       Prof. (Dr.) Savina Bansal Campus Director, GZSCCET and MRSPTU Dean, Academics, Prof. (Dr.) Bhupinder Pal Singh Dhot, Director, Sports and Youth Welfare of MRSPTU  and Dinesh Kumar, HOD, CSE Department and Prof. (Dr.) Paramjeet Singh, Dean Student Welfare congratulated the winner and appreciated the performance of the student at the national platform.

     MRSPTU, Vice-chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Mohan Paul Singh Ishar and Registrar, Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Baldi, congratulated Pushkar for wining national level prize and his faculty members, who have   been putting extra effort to make sure that the students of MRSPTU keep performing well at the national level.
