The incident took place close to the Red Fort Metro Station / Gate No.1, where a parked vehicle reportedly caught fire following the blasts.
According to initial information, several people have sustained injuries and have been rushed to nearby hospitals, including Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan (LNJP) Hospital. The exact number of casualties is still being confirmed.

ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਲਾਲ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਮੈਟਰੋ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਗੇਟ ਨੰਬਰ 1 ਦੇ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਇੱਕ ਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਮਾਕਾ ਹੋਇਆ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰੀ ਸਨਸਨੀ ਫੈਲ ਗਈ। ਧਮਾਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਲੱਗ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਧਮਾਕੇ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਦੂਰ ਤੱਕ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
